Cydia Apps

the iDevice is getting unstable. it wasnt even fully cleared of all the shit when i upgraded to OS 4.1 in the first place.. better fix it before it screws up on me again.. so this entry is to note down, and share at the same time, on what cydia apps i have in my phone.

1) SBsettings

who can live without it? you get to turn on/off 3g and wifi easily, and adjust brightness, turn on/off airplane mode & location features all from there. plus there’s this feature called Processes where it functions like Task Manager in windows. when some app hangs and you wanna force quit it, just force quit it from there.

 

2) Infinidock

you get to put up to 10 apps into your dock. but that’s a bit too much. i put about 5 usually. and it has pages. like the home screen. just slide to flip the “pages” if you get what i mean. so the not-so-important important apps can go to the 2nd page (:

 

3) Infiniboard

if i have more than 16 apps on my homescreen, it will just accumulate and i use my finger to slide up and down at the homescreen like in a browser and my 17th and 18th and so on apps will be shown. aiya how to say. more apps wont form new pages but just add on at the bottom. get it? lol

 

4) Status bar Battery icon Hide

it’s free. and it hides the battery icon in the status bar. it’s VERY important for me because i have BiteSMS and i enable the icon in the statusbar when i have something enabled for backgroundr to remind me that i have something left to disable. plus my status has lesser space cos i enable the date to be displayed. so yeah. LACK OF STATUSBAR SPACE. since i already turn on the battery percentage, i dont need the battery icon at all. so HIDE IT!

 

5) Lockscreen Clock Hide

i use this because i am using Typophone (shown below) and i need to hide the clock in my lockscreen.

 

6) Typophone 4

This is for the blind or the cool people. i think im the latter. (buey paiseh maximum!) but after i add this Vampire Diaries picture doesnt the lockscreen look like a magazine cover sorta thing? COOL RIGHT. i love it! there are more and more themes coming out for typophone now.. it’s booming! YES I LIKE!

 

7) Invisible Tap to Unlock

i dont slide to unlock, whenever my iphone is jailbroken. i’m too friggin lazy to work the thumb. so i download the tap to unlock in invisible mode so you dont see it. it blends perfectly for my typophone app! so i tap, i dont slide. good eh?

 

8 ) asVibra 2 for 4.0

i get this from http://apt.iPhone-storage.de/ and it will make my phone vibrate 3 times whenever it’s suppose to vibrate once. for sms, and for any game that has vibrations. so it can be pretty irritating when i play Coin Dozer and the huge coin drops. but it’s good cos i dont want to miss an sms alert and one vibration is just too short.

 

9) Bitesms

i blogged about this before.. but there was a new beta version a couple of days back! add this source http://www.bitesms.com/cydia/beta5.1 and download the new beta version! it’s free, just that if you dont purchase the licence to use Bitesms, you have to settle with the ads in the app. but u usually wont even open the app cos all your sms-es comes in pop up forms. i can reply smses even when the phone is syncing cos it’s just a pop up and i dont have to open up the sms app to reply! cool la.

 

10) Popup Colors

This is free. and since i have popups ever so often (due to bitesms) i find it a need to personalize it to my kind of colour. I find red sexy, so my popups are red like the pic below! it’s a bundle app which has many colours for you to choose from! it even has aqua or like purple! it’s worth getting!

 

11) Lockdown Pro

friend will always ask if they can peek at your phone. you dont mind showing them but you’re worried that they will peek at your private photos or your messages? lock it up then! this app will let you choose to put a password on the apps that you want to and it’s safely locked away from those nosy hands! (Y)

 

12) iblacklist

i absolutely hate getting calls from those insurance companies. when you receive such a call, you can tell them “can you call me back later? i am kinda busy now” and when they hang up, GO BLOCK THEM USING THIS APP. it’s damn good! one less irritating person!

 

13) FolderEnhancer

the folders in the OS 4.1 lets you store a total of 12 apps right? This app lets you save an unlimited amount of apps in it, and even let you put folders IN folders! you can set pages in your folders too! it’s mad awesome! better get it quick cos the developer is gonna increase the price in Nov.

 

13) Appsync for 4.1
i think, you need this so that when you have installous to download cracked appstore apps, and you sync it with itunes (need to transfer purchases into the itunes first) in future, all the cracked apps store in the itunes will be able to be synced into the phone. you get what i mean? without appsync, when you sync your iphone, itunes will remove all the cracked apps. then good game la all your Cut the Rope levels.

 

14) Installous
this is to download cracked apps. so you can get paid apps for free! simple.

 

15) Disable Mutlitasking on..
The name is too long. i hate the default mutlitasking feature in os 4.1 because it always minimize and not close your apps when you press home. it’s so troublesome to keep having to close them again so that the phone wont lag. So i disabled it to use another multitasking app in cydia.

 

16) Proswitcher
This is another kind of multitasking feature. but it wasnt updated for iOS 4 yet so im not using it now. i used it when i was still on 3.1.3 and it was more awesome than Multiflow

 

17) Backgroundr.
Since proswitcher wasnt available yet, so i had to use multiflow. i think using backgroundr it’s easier. this app lets you choose which app you want to be minimized or closed directly. save my time to close it again like the default multitasking feature in the 4.1.

 

18) Multiflow
This is the 2nd best cydia multitasking app. but it doesnt let u choose to go back to the homescreen. so it’s not as good as proswitcher in my terms. but it’s a good substitute la.

 

19) five-column springboard
opps. forgot to mention this just now, i have 5 icons per row in homescreen. cos im using the iLlumine theme and it makes the icons really small so i can afford to use the 5 icons per row feature and put more apps per page in my homescreen!

 

20) Lockinfo
i used to use this before i had typophone. it displays all your Calendar information in the lockscreen. so it’s easier to take note of your upcoming activites! you can view your twitter on your lockscreen too! it’s very cool. highly recommended!

 

21) qTweeter
for all the twitter-freaks like me, you just need to slide a finger downwards from the statusbar, and this popup will show and you can tweet without the need to open your twitter app! it’s DAMN GOOD.

 

22) Wi-fi sync
The name says it. you get to sync it to your itunes via wifi. but it’s a bit lame. you cannot make a backup of your current iphone state to your itunes cos it’s not connected. so i’m not gonna use it anymore. but just a heads up!

 

23) Winterboard
oh this is a need. You need this to turn choose which theme you want to use at the moment, which sms ringtone, which colour for your popups. yeah you get the idea.

 

Yeah hope i recorded all of it.. now to restore and rejailbreak the damn phone!
